Your primary responsibilities will include operating production machinery, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety standards throughout the work process. You will collaborate closely with team members to troubleshoot issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Each day, you will engage in various tasks, such as mixing ingredients, monitoring equipment performance, and packaging finished products.Set packaging line to machine centerlines and confirm setup is set to the correct productSet dog food bags to the correct centerlinesDrive quality through monitoring and validating that the product is within standards, checking paperwork, and ensuring the product is correctConduct & record metal, weight, seals, and lot code checks.Verify cleans are accurate by assigning duties to others on the line, filling out quality documents, and ensuring it is completed in a timely mannerCommunicate with material handlers on upcoming jobs so it is an easy transitionCommunicates packaging needs with packaging Supervisor as necessary Notifies Packaging Supervisor of any Safety, Quality, or Production escalation issuesSupport troubleshooting of equipment to ensure that daily throughput requirements are metNotify maintenance if the packaging line breaksPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSProlonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.With your keen attention to detail, you'll play a vital role in meeting customer expectations for quality pet food.
