We're looking for an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to lead the planning and coordination that happens before construction begins. This is a key mid-level leadership role that bridges estimating, vendor coordination, project planning, and operational readiness, ensuring every project is set up for success before it reaches the field.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the pre-construction process from signed agreement through project handoff.
  • Prepare and coordinate accurate project estimates, budgets, and construction specifications.
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, permitting agencies, utility providers, and other project partners throughout the planning process.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Production, and other team members on vendor and subcontractor needs to ensure project requirements are identified and addressed
  • Support contracts, insurance documentation, and administrative processes that improve operational efficiency.
  • Partner with estimating, production, procurement, and leadership to ensure projects are fully prepared before construction begins.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and reporting within JobTread.
  • Help improve workflows, documentation, and operational systems as Luedeker Homes continues to grow.
  • Contribute to a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement through measurable goals and proven processes.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in residential construction, estimating, pre-construction, operations, or project management.
  • Custom home construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods, estimating, scheduling, and project sequencing.
  • Experience reviewing construction plans and preparing detailed project estimates.
  • Experience coordinating vendors, subcontractors, and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience using JobTread or similar construction management software preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a structured environment that values accountability, measurable results, and continuous improvement.
  • A proactive professional who takes ownership, follows through on commitments, and enjoys helping teams succeed.
