What is pre admission testing?

Pre Admission Testing (PAT) refers to the medical evaluations and tests that patients undergo before being admitted for surgery or certain medical procedures. These tests can include blood work, EKGs, chest X-rays, and a review of medical history to ensure the patient is fit for anesthesia and surgery. The goal is to identify and address any potential health risks to minimize complications during or after the procedure. PAT helps medical teams prepare personalized care plans and improves patient safety.

What do you do in pre admission testing?

Pre admission testing involves performing assessments such as medical examinations, laboratory tests, and health screenings to evaluate a patient's readiness for a procedure or admission. It may require coordination with healthcare professionals and adherence to specific protocols or schedules.
