The Java Developer will be doing development within the Store Systems team of Ascena. Retail experience, specifically experience with POS development and credit card experience will be the key to a candidate being successful on this engagement.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years experience in application development utilizing JAVA, J2EE, Spring, SQL, Web Services,
Desired Experience:
  • Track record of successful system and project implementations, and experience integrating with Oracle applications, leveraging new technologies in a dynamic team environment
  • Experience in a retail environment
  • Nice to have experience with ORPOS or similar POS system
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced international project
  • Must be able to command the attention and respect of highly technical associates
  • Ability to navigate technical issues and evaluate risk
  • Demonstrated track record of successful system and project implementations
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize and manage a variety of complex projects and activities
  • Strong problem solving, analysis, design and testing skills
