What is a Level 2 IT support job description?

A Level 2 IT support technician handles more complex technical issues that cannot be resolved by Level 1 support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems. They often diagnose problems, provide solutions, and escalate issues when necessary, using tools like remote support software and maintaining documentation. Strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are typically required.

What is the least stressful IT job?

An Overnight Level 2 IT Support role is generally considered less stressful than positions with high customer interaction or urgent response requirements, as it often involves routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and monitoring during off-hours. These roles typically have predictable schedules and lower immediate pressure, but may require strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Overall, roles with limited on-call duties and minimal high-pressure situations tend to be less stressful in the IT field.
