Job description

MITRE is hiring a Healthcare Information Interoperability Engineer for our campus located in Bedford, MA. Seeking a hands-on implementer with domain experience in healthcare information management with an emphasis on electronic health records, inter-organization information sharing, healthcare information and vocabulary standards, healthcare architectures, and health information exchange. Experience with quality measures or clinical decision support a plus.
Key Functions:
- Support government sponsor programs that encourage adoption of national health data exchange standards by creating prototypes, demonstrations, and test systems.
- Work with standards organizations such as HL7 to develop and refine health information standards.
- Help develop and standards and architectures for clinical quality measure and clinical decision support.
- Help formulate the vision and implementation of computable medical records.
Preferred Qualifications: 
- Eight or more years of experience in healthcare information management.
- BS or MS in computer science.
- Languages: Java, Ruby, and/or JavaScript.
- Standards: HL7 v3, C-CDA, FHIR, RDF, OWL.
Travel: 
This position will require overnight travel up to 15 % of the time as well as some local travel.
