Essential Job Functions:

  • Process approved purchasing requisitions for expense items, office supplies, maintenance items, and other approved purchases in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assign suppliers and purchase orders to DMC manufacturing jobs for Outside Processing services and coordinate the majority of clerical activities related to Outside Processing requirements.
  • Perform routine supplier follow-up on past due purchase orders, communicate status updates, maintain purchasing records within Syteline, and elevate significant delays or inventory-related issues to the appropriate purchasing team member.
  • Assist departments with identifying and coordinating approved expense items, office supplies, maintenance items, and services for DMC use.
  • Maintain purchasing related files, records, and documentation, including scanning and filing of purchasing documents.
  • Coordinate the shipment and return of tools sent to suppliers for repairs, maintenance, and calibration.
  • Assist the Quality department, when needed, in obtaining supplier documentation required for quality and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain department office supply inventory and coordinate replenishment as needed.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Purchasing department and assist Specialists and Buyers as needed.


Requirements:
  • Previous purchasing, administrative, manufacturing support, or related experience preferred.
  • ERP system experience preferred. Infor Syteline experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with suppliers and internal departments.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and professional demeanor required.
