Job description

Outside Processing Clerk

The Outside Processing Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all external processing activities are efficiently managed and documented. This position is responsible for coordinating with external vendors and suppliers to facilitate the timely processing of materials and components. The Clerk will maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Also, assumes responsibility for general housekeeping duties and striving toward continuous improvement.

Essential Functions
  • Receives material or product and records weight on tags, labels or production schedules.
  • Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets or skids.
  • Accurately records factors causing goods to be processed.
  • Uses proper safety equipment and PPE, unloads incoming materials, moves material into storage or staging areas and moves product throughout the facility and onto and off from trucks on the loading docks.
  • Maintains safety and housekeeping (5S) in work areas and strives for continuous improvement.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, as needed.
  • All other responsibilities as assigned.

Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous hi-lo experience required.
  • Prior experience as a full-time receiving and/or warehouse clerk preferred.

  • Will need to be highly organized and able to effectively and professionally communicate in both written and verbal forms.
  • Able to use precision measuring instruments (micrometers and calipers).
  • Computer literate (including printing and scanning) along with effective communication skills both written and verbal required.
  • Ability to read & comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence & memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information one-on-one and in small groups. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in various units of measure using whole numbers and decimals.
