Job Summary:
The Operations Supervisor - Maintenance plays a key role in supporting the Operations Manager in overseeing and coordinating daily maintenance operations. This position ensures the efficient execution of all tasks related to the construction and maintenance of outdoor advertising structures (including electrical components), and the management of company assets such as buildings, shops, offices, and fleet vehicles.
Job Responsibilities
  • Helps manage maintenance operations including, but not limited to:Coordinating construction, conversion, or upgrades of outdoor advertising displays
  • Oversees general site maintenance, including capital work, vegetation control, light maintenance, and graffiti mitigation
  • Resource management, including balancing employee and contractor work loads
  • Collaborates with Operations Manager to client-affecting maintenance work is communicated to sales leadership.
  • Provides operational counsel to branch with emphasis on maintenance, cost, safety, environmental issues, technology, new build opportunities, and production capabilities.
  • Ensures their team is provided a safe work environment and drives compliance with both the CCO Safety Program and relevant OSHA standards.
  • Works with vendors to obtain quotes and purchases materials & equipment as needed.
  • Performs field and warehousing responsibilities as workload requires (i.e., inventory, receiving, maintenance, and copy installations)
  • Maintains accurate records for inventory of materials, clients, personnel, and other reporting purposes.
  • Acts as the on-call contact for building security system(s) and emergencies.
  • Performs administrative activities necessary for effective management of department, including the selection & development of employees; budget administration; planning, organizing, and measuring work performance within the department; and negotiating union contracts (where applicable).
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, experience, or military experience.

Work Experience
  • Two (2) + years' experience in the construction trade or related trades
  • One (1) + year of supervisory experience

Skills
  • Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills and able to multi-task and balance multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, stand, bend, stoop, lift, position, hold, push and pull, materials and equipment in excess of 85 pounds. In addition to climb, bend, stoop, stand, move upper body extremities.
  • Ability to climb ladders and/or stairs to access work sites at heights of 100 feet or more.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at times. The noise level in the work environment can be moderate to high.

Other Requirements
  • Able to travel outside of the office 25% of the time for client meetings, corporate meetings, and industry events.
  • Able to safely climb structures to inspect items such as client postings (as needed).
  • Must possess valid in-state driver's license suitable for light commercial vehicles and other equipment associated with job.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Possess valid driver's license.
