Mission
Operations Manager - Zion Shuttle Operations
Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for the daily oversight and coordination of transportation operations for the Zion Shuttle System. This position provides leadership and support to drivers, road supervisors, and shuttle hosts while ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused service delivery. Responsibilities include employee scheduling, operational monitoring, staffing coordination, and maintaining compliance with company and contract standards.
This is a full-time, year-round salaried position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support drivers, road supervisors, and shuttle hosts.
  • Develop and maintain employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Monitor daily operations and adjust staffing and resources as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Assist with employee coaching, performance management, and corrective action when necessary.
  • Support operational communication between dispatch, field staff, supervisors, and management.
  • Monitor attendance, reliability, and employee performance.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training efforts.
  • Respond to operational issues and help resolve customer service concerns.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and documentation.
  • Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive work environment.
  • Operate company vehicles as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience required.
  • Zion shuttle driving experience required.
  • Must possess strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid CDL with Passenger Endorsement and Air Brakes.
  • Must be able to pass all required background checks, drug/alcohol screenings, and DOT physical requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in transportation or transit operations management preferred.
  • Experience with employee scheduling and workforce coordination preferred.
  • Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA regulations preferred.

Work Environment
This position operates in both office and outdoor environments and may require working in varying weather conditions, around moving vehicles, and in high-volume public settings.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate company vehicles and computer equipment.
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require.
