Location: Tampa, FL (Hybrid – Monday–Thursday Onsite, Friday Remote)
Duration: 18+ Month Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead multiple infrastructure deployment projects for TECO Energy. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams, vendors, and construction-related technology deployments. This role requires strong expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, Azure DevOps (ADO), vendor management, budgeting, forecasting, and project governance.

The Project Manager will oversee multiple concurrent projects involving hardware, networking, telecommunications, procurement, scheduling, configuration, and deployment activities while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (Required – Education will be verified)
  • PMP Certification (Required)
  • Minimum 7+ years of IT Project Management experience
  • Proven experience managing IT Infrastructure projects
  • Experience leading both Agile and Waterfall projects
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) (Required)
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams
  • Strong vendor management experience
  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, schedules, and resources
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SmartSheets
  • Experience in the Electric Utility industry
  • Experience supporting construction-related IT infrastructure deployments
  • SAP project experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage 3–5 simultaneous IT infrastructure projects
  • Lead project planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery
  • Coordinate with:
    • Hardware teams
    • Network teams
    • Telecommunications teams
    • Construction project managers
    • Internal business stakeholders
    • Third-party vendors
  • Manage infrastructure build projects from:
    • Procurement
    • Scheduling
    • Configuration
    • Deployment
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Azure DevOps (ADO) and SmartSheets
  • Track project milestones, timelines, budgets, and forecasts
  • Maintain RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)
  • Conduct project meetings and maintain meeting minutes/documentation
  • Manage resource allocation and project estimates
  • Communicate project status to executive stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC processes and PMO standards
  • Identify project risks and drive mitigation strategies
  • Maintain project documentation within project repositories
