Outbound Assistant information

What is an outbound assistant?

Outbound Assistants are professionals responsible for initiating contact with potential customers or clients, usually through phone calls, emails, or other communication channels. Their main duties often involve promoting products or services, generating leads, setting appointments, and following up on previous interactions. Outbound Assistants play a crucial role in supporting sales teams by reaching out proactively to prospects rather than waiting for incoming inquiries. They may work in various industries, including call centers, sales organizations, and customer service departments. Strong communication skills, persistence, and the ability to handle rejection are important qualities for success in this role.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be an outbound assistant?

To thrive as an Outbound Assistant, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in logistics or supply chain management, often supported by a high school diploma or relevant certification. Familiarity with inventory management software, shipment tracking systems, and basic office tools like spreadsheets is typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork help you stand out in this role. These skills and qualities are essential for ensuring accurate order processing, timely shipments, and smooth coordination with both internal teams and external partners.

What are common challenges faced by outbound assistants, and how can they be managed?

Outbound Assistants often encounter challenges such as handling high call volumes, reaching uninterested prospects, and achieving set targets within tight deadlines. To manage these challenges, it's important to develop strong communication skills, resilience, and efficient time management. Leveraging call scripts, using customer relationship management (CRM) tools, and seeking feedback from team leaders can help improve performance. Additionally, collaborating closely with other team members and participating in regular training sessions can enhance skills and make overcoming these challenges more manageable.

Job description

Rhino Federated Computing Rhino solves one of the biggest challenges in AI: seamlessly connecting siloed data, apps, and models through federated computing. Our platform enables our customers to share business insight and processing without compromising intellectual property, data privacy, or data security. Our Rhino Federated Computing Platform offers flexible architecture across multi-cloud and on-prem hardware, end-to-end data management controls and workflows, and privacy enhancing technologies. Rhino is trusted by over 60 leading consortia and enterprises worldwide, including 14 of 20 of Newsweek's 'Best Smart Hospitals' and top 20 global biopharma companies.

The company is headquartered in Boston, with an R&D center in Tel Aviv.

About the role

We are hiring a builder to run and grow Revenue Operations. This is an individual contributor role, focused primarily on building and tooling: instrumenting HubSpot, connecting our ad platforms, and shipping automation and agentic workflows the commercial team actually uses. The expectation is that this person will eventually hire Sales Ops and Marketing Ops Analysts and a dedicated GTM/Automation Engineer as the organization grows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build production automation and agentic workflows for the commercial team. Early candidates: lead routing and enrichment, call-note-to-CRM sync, attribution QA, an agentic outbound assist, an RFX/tender/grant finder. Build on sanctioned infrastructure, in partnership with our engineering team.
  • Take HubSpot adoption from immaturity to a real system: lifecycle stages, scoring, routing, attribution, clean pipeline architecture.
  • Stand up marketing operations: connect Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads to the CRM, close the attribution loop.
  • Automate the reporting that's currently manual: pipeline dashboards, OKR tracking, leadership and board reporting, refreshed on a real cadence instead of assembled by hand each month.
  • Keep the data clean: field completeness and validity on deal source, stage, ARR, close date, contact role, with a standing audit.
  • Additional commercial projects as needed, such as monthly reporting and other administration.
Growth Path
  • This will start as an individual contributor role. As the commercial motion matures and volume justifies it, you will hire and lead functions such as Sales Ops, Marketing Ops, GTM Engineering, Deal Desk, etc.
Required Skills
  • 4+ years in RevOps, Sales Ops, GTM Engineering, or Marketing Ops within a B2B sales org.
  • Experience building: automations, integrations, or workflows you personally designed and shipped, including demonstrable experience building AI/agentic tooling that has been adopted by a Commercial organization.
  • Experience supporting long, complex, multi-stakeholder B2B enterprise sales cycles and multichannel marketing motions.
  • Deep HubSpot fluency, including its automation and API surface.
  • Comfort as an individual contributor to begin with, but aspiration to build a team over time.
