Position Description: Job Summary:We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Outbound Long-Haul Dispatcher to coordinate and manage over-the-road (OTR) freight operations. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and tracking long-distance shipments while maintaining constant communication with drivers and internal teams. This is a high-communication role that requires frequent phone use, detailed tracking in spreadsheets, and coordination with the backhaul team using printed trip documentation.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate and dispatch long-haul drivers for outbound loads across regional and national routesConduct heavy outbound and inbound phone communication throughout the day.Plan efficient routes and schedules to maximize productivity and minimize delays.Create, maintain, and update Excel spreadsheets.Prepare and manage manually printed trip sheets and ensure accuracy for coordination with the backhaul team.Monitor driver progress and provide real-time updates with teams.Communicate load details, delivery expectations, and schedule changes clearly and consistentlyTroubleshoot and resolve issues such as delays, breakdowns, or route changesEnsure compliance with DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and company policiesMaintain accurate records of shipments, driver logs, and delivery statusesCollaborate closely with backhaul coordinators to optimize return loads and equipment utilizationQualifications:Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation (long-haul/OTR preferred)Comfortable handling a high volume of phone calls in a fast-paced environmentStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet trackingExperience working with printed documentation and manual workflow processesStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to work under pressure and adapt to changing prioritiesFamiliarity with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and load boardsBasic knowledge of DOT regulations and freight operationsExperience with Geotab a plusPolish language a plusPay based on experiencePreferred Skills:Experience working with long-haul or cross-country freightStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to build and maintain positive relationships with drivers and internal teams
