Job description

Otter Products is seeking a Demand Planner to join our team. In this role you can be based at our Fort Collins, CO headquarters, working a hybrid schedule or remote if you are not local.

As a Demand Planner/Forecaster, you will be responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts, analyzing market trends, and ensuring optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand. You will work collaboratively with various teams across the business with a goal of minimizing forecast error.

To succeed in this role, you must be highly analytical and detail-oriented with experience in the use of applied statistics, business reporting, and predictive analytics, while possessing advanced Excel modeling skills. Knowledge of databases and dimensional data modeling experience is strongly preferred.

  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales input.
  • Prepare data visualizations, reports, briefings, and concise summary analysis.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, product, and supply chain teams to gather relevant data and insights.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and market conditions to adjust forecasts as needed.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on demand forecasts and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Utilize advanced forecasting tools and software to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of demand planning processes and best practices.
  • Support and maintain a positive safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures and actively contributing to a safe working environment.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, or related field is required. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a heavily data focused demand planning or directly related role is required.
  • Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred.
  • Experience using statistical modeling such as Power BI, Kimball Method, DAX and/or SQL Server is preferred.
  • Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems is preferred.
