The Company has experienced rapid growth over the past 3 years and recently received a strategic investment from Main Street Capital Corporation (NYSE: MAIN). In addition to our recent growth in Federal Civilian agencies, we are seeking to expand our capabilities in cloud development and footprint in national-security focused agencies within the Department of Defense and U.S. Intelligence Community.

Our team is seeking an experienced P‑3 Orion Pilot Instructor to provide high‑impact training, evaluation, and mission‑ready instruction for P‑3 Orion aircrews supporting U.S. government operations. This role is ideal for seasoned P‑3 professionals who are passionate about developing aviators, elevating standards, and ensuring safe, effective mission execution.

As outlined in the position description, the instructor is responsible for "instructing and evaluating pilots' knowledge of P‑3 Orion aircraft systems and normal flight and emergency procedures in both classroom and aircraft simulator environments" and will "lead classroom and flight instruction blocks focusing on such topics as: aircraft systems, procedures, and emergency scenarios."

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately evaluating pilot competency across aircraft operations, risk management, and all positional skills as defined by CBP/AMO policies.
  • Maintaining proficiency and demonstrating all normal and emergency maneuvers in the P‑3 Operational Flight Simulator in accordance with the P‑3 Operators Manual.
  • Creating realistic, experience‑appropriate simulator scenarios and training events for flight crews of all levels.
  • Developing and updating lesson plans, training materials, systems quizzes, and examinations, and uploading completed materials to OpSTAR.
  • Serving as a subject‑matter advisor on P‑3 training materials, grade sheets, and related documentation.
  • Managing training calendars to ensure all PIC/SIC events are completed within each course cycle.
  • Providing simulator training and proficiency certification for new P‑3 simulator users, including AMO personnel and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of recent P‑3 Instructor Pilot experience (within the last 2 years).
  • Strong understanding of aviation regulations, safety protocols, and operational risk management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of P‑3 avionics, navigation systems, engines, and mission equipment.
  • Experience instructing in a flight simulator environment (preferred).
