Government Security Manager

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance.

In this position, you will play a critical role in conducting security operations IAW 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD series), and other government contract requirements and regulations. You will provide day to day security administration and management; help guide employees and assure compliance with all government and company security regulations. This position will communicate and collaborate daily with US government counterparts, management and program personnel, and work closely with other industrial security team members in a collaborative environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Government Security Manager: $85k - $125k plus annual bonus. Pay commensurate with experience.

Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided.ย  Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Government Security Manager Responsibilities Include:ย 

  • Administer day-to-day security operations of the Industrial Security program with support from corporate management, implementing a security program that enables the business while complying with Government regulations
  • As a for Manager Government Security, support both collateral level DoD programs and special access programs for various Government agencies
  • Work closely with corporate management to make critical security decisions that will prevent unauthorized access to company and government facilities and information
  • Assist with the Personnel Security program and administer security clearances/access processes for new/existing employees, subcontractors, and consultants
  • Manages NBIS/DISS system to ensure personnel clearances are maintained properly and in accordance with government regulations and requirements.ย 
  • Ensures appropriate cleared personnel are maintaining classified information in accordance with government regulations and requirements.ย 
  • Prepares and implements training requirements, as needed.ย 
  • Reviews customer contracts for inclusion of appropriate language related to industrialย  security.
  • Provides guidance to leadership, as required, concerning all security administrative functions in support of National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
  • Monitors security trends in applicable directives and apply changes, as necessary.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Government Security Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:ย 

  • Must be U.S. Citizen

  • Active TS/SCI clearance to be considered for this position.

  • 6+ years of industrial security or relevant experience.

  • Must have 8-10 years Government Security experience

  • Knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), ICD 705, and other IC policies and directives.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams)

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of DISS, NBIS, SIMS, and ACCS systems.

  • Candidate should have excellent communication, judgment, and decision-making skills.

  • Able to operate independently and as part of a team.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and identify solutions.

  • Working knowledge of the NISPOM, ICDs, and Executive Orders, to ensure security compliance.

  • Previous security experience with the Intelligence Community

  • Knowledge of the various security disciplines such as physical security, personnel security, information system security and industrial security to determine, apply, and monitor appropriate security requirements for assigned programs.

  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
