Job Title: Shipping & Receiving ClerkJob Description

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for preparing, staging, and processing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with customer requirements. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency of operations within our warehouse, which supports a plastic injection manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, stage, and process shipments to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.
• Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures, package and label parts accurately.
• Scan materials and complete Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs).
• Verify shipping documents and manage returnable containers.
• Load and unload trucks safely, operating forklifts as needed.
• Check incoming quantities and maintain accurate lot identification.
• Keep warehouse and dock areas clean and organized.
• Perform inventory counts and support 5S activities.
• Assist with repacking and transport materials within the facility.
• Report shipment discrepancies while adhering to safety and security procedures.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of experience operating a forklift (hilo).
• 1+ year of warehouse experience.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must have steel-toed boots.
• Willingness to do whatever it takes attitude.
• Good reason for leaving every job.

Work Environment

Work in a smaller, team-oriented warehouse with only seven employees. The environment is quieter and fairly clean, promoting a collaborative atmosphere to support each other.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orion, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.25/hr.
