Job description

Orgill Rome Distribution Center is seeking PART TIME MATERIAL HANDLER positions to join our team!
Part Time Hours - 1st & 2nd Shift - $19.75 per hour
Days per week: 4 to 5 days per week (pending department and shift)
Hours per day: 4 to 5 hours per day

PRIMARY FUNCTION
Primarily responsible for the support of the DC by efficiently picking merchandise located in all order filling zones and labeling each carton in a manner which promotes ease of identification and scanning.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Must be able to accurately pick and label merchandise from primary pick locations.
  • Must be able to accurately identify units of measure.
  • Must be able to identify correct merchandise and account for damaged merchandise.
  • Must be able to accurately prepare orders and transport to Shipping Department.
  • Must be able to meet quality and productivity standards.
  • Ability to take direction from Supervisor.
  • Excellent attendance and reliable predictability a must
  • Adheres to DC housekeeping guidelines
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned. *

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma preferred
  • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing to comply with all safety policies and practices.
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime when needed
  • Good comprehension, organizational, and math skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management
  • Ability to maintain records accurately and demonstrate problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and to meet deadlines
  • Must be a team player with a can-do attitude
  • Power Equipment certification a plus
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
