What are the primary responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and controls throughout the facility under minimal supervision.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, motors, panels, lighting, and other distribution center equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to resolve issues quickly.
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of mechanical systems, including conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Respond to facility maintenance emergencies to minimize operational downtime.
  • Follow all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, National Electrical Code (NEC), and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and digital work orders.
  • Perform light welding and fabrication as needed for equipment repairs (training provided).

What are the qualifications that I need:
Required:
  • Active Journeyman Electrician License (or state equivalent allowing unsupervised electrical work).
  • Strong foundational knowledge of 120V, 240V, and 480V 3-phase systems, motors, and electrical distribution.
  • Ability to safely read and troubleshoot from electrical diagrams and schematics.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn complex automation/conveyor systems.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to bend conduit and pull wiring

Preferred (Not Required):
  • Previous experience in a distribution center, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • Basic familiarity with PLC troubleshooting and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
  • Welding experience (MIG, TIG, or Stick).
  • Forklift, aerial lift, or other industrial equipment certifications.
