Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of Standard Meat Company's facilities, equipment, and building systems through preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs. Working under the direction of Maintenance leadership, this position assists in maintaining production equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure while ensuring compliance with all food safety, sanitation, quality, and workplace safety standards. Responsibilities include performing scheduled preventive maintenance, identifying and correcting equipment issues, operating maintenance tools and equipment, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and ensuring work areas remain clean and organized. Maintenance Technicians are expected to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Lockout/Tagout procedures, and all Company policies, while using appropriate personal protective equipment at all times. Employees in this role must be able to work in refrigerated production environments, respond to changing production schedules, maintain regular attendance, and work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as required to support business operations. Until properly trained and authorized, Maintenance Technicians may not perform work on equipment or building systems for which they have not received the appropriate training.
