The Director of Organizational Learning is responsible for the planning, implementation, direction, facilitation, and evaluation of the organization's enterprise-wide learning and development programs for employees across all roles, levels, agencies, programs, and service lines. Leads organizational learning strategy; oversees clinical and non-clinical education; owns the learning management system (LMS) and required training compliance; supports onboarding, orientation, and role-based development; coordinates clinical student rotations and internships; and partners with Human Resources on leadership development. Provides oversight and direction to Education Department staff, serving all service lines. Ensures learning programs support regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, quality outcomes, employee engagement, professional growth, and excellent patient, family, and client experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities includeย (but are not limited to):
- Develops and implements an organization-wide learning strategy and annual education plan that promote professional standards, role competence, regulatory compliance, service excellence, employee development, optimal patient/family/client experience, and quality outcomes.
- Evaluates clinical and non-clinical learning needs and improvement opportunities through direct inquiry, leader consultation, staff feedback, LMS data, competency results, audit trends, survey readiness needs, QAPI activities, unusual occurrence/complaint trends, and patient/family/client satisfaction data.
- Consistently measures results of educational initiatives and programs and revises the plan as appropriate.
- Develops and maintains a network of external professional development providers to ensure the organization has access to current learning resources, methods, and subject matter expertise.
- Oversees the organization's learning management system and required training compliance process to ensure efficient delivery, tracking, escalation, and reporting of training and development activities, particularly those pertaining to state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, role-specific requirements, and the ongoing expansion of best practices.
- Serves as the content expert in principles of adult learning, education and training design, providing oversight and direction to the organization's educational initiatives.
- Provides train-the-trainer support to internal presenters as indicated.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of five years' experience in healthcare education, learning and development, organizational development, clinical education, staff development, or related field required; experience in hospice, home health, palliative care, long-term care, or community-based healthcare strongly preferred.
- Minimum of three years of supervisory, program leadership, or comparable management experience required.
- Bachelor's degree required in education, organizational development, healthcare administration, nursing, social work, public health, human resources, business administration, psychology, or related field; commensurate professional experience may be considered in accordance with organizational policy.
- Master's degree preferred in education, organizational development, healthcare administration, nursing, social work, public health, human resources, or related field. Clinical background or experience leading clinical education functions preferred but not required if the candidate demonstrates strong healthcare learning and development expertise.
- Experience with LMS administration, regulatory training compliance, curriculum design, adult learning methods, and facilitation required.
- Experience designing or facilitating leadership/management development programs preferred.
- Proven ability to lead enterprise initiatives and drive strategic outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience designing and executing a comprehensive learning & development strategy and scaled solutions in an organization with a growth plan
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- As applicable based on professional background, current professional license or certification in good standing. Current California RN license preferred for candidates whose primary background is nursing, but not required for all qualified candidates.
Pay Range:
$130K - $150K annually
