It allows students to gain practical experience in their field of study during or after completing their academic program. OPT internships can be paid or unpaid and must be related to the student's major. Students typically apply for OPT authorization through USCIS, and they can work for up to 12 months (or 24 months for STEM fields with an extension).

You may be assigned to collaborative teams, receive mentorship from senior staff, and be expected to present your findings or progress in meetings. Job description

This is a general inquiry for recently graduated international students to indicate interest in doing a ministry training program (called ISEED) while working part-time in their field of study (20 hours/week) in a paid internship either at our organization or another local business. Internationals will use an OPT work authorization as part of this opportunity.

Introducing IFI

International Friendships, Inc. is a growing faith-based organization, whose mission is to extend life-changing hospitality and friendship to international college students. Staff at IFI are servant leaders, who love helping students from around the world feel at home on their respective campuses in the U.S. We do this by offering services, such as airport pickups, holiday hosting, temporary housing, conversation partnerships, social events and trips, and opportunities to build relationships virtually.

ISEED Program

The ISEED Program is a 10-12 month training program that prepares international students who are followers of Jesus to share God's love globally. Participants must commit to spending 20 hours each week at their paid internship and 20 hours each week on the ISEED program curriculum and activities. Sessions start in July and January every year.

Pay and Benefits

Pay and benefits will vary based on the company or organization providing the internship. OPT card holders may also volunteer time in their field to meet requirements of their OPT status.

International Friendships, Inc. (IFI) is a faith-based organization. Therefore, only those willing to adhere to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies will be reviewed for this open position. International Friendships, Inc. is otherwise an equal opportunity employer.
