Job description

Technology Internship Program - Summer 2027

Key Role Details

  • This is a full-time paid internship program spanning ten weeks from June through August 2027.

  • Participation in the internship requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance at your assigned location, in accordance with Capital One's hybrid working model, for the duration of the program.

  • Interns will be evaluated for a full-time position within our rotational programs, with start dates six months to one year following the completion of the internship.

  • To be considered for this role, candidates will be required to provide a formal school record (such as an unofficial transcript or degree audit) that states the current expected graduation date. This documentation must be provided to the recruiter upon request to verify program eligibility.

At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization, or offer any immigration related support for this position (e.g. H1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, TN, E-3, and O-1, or any other forms of work authorization that require immigration support from an employer).

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher with an expectation that you will complete your most recent full-time degree program by August 2028 or earlier (for example: If you are graduating with a Bachelor's degree in May 2027 and are also currently enrolled in a full-time Master's degree program with an expected graduation date of May 2028, then your most recent degree program is your Master's degree)

  • Must be continuing in the same course of study of your most recent full-time degree program following completion of the internship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical or quantitative discipline, including computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, and mathematics

  • Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving and conceptual skills

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills

  • Intermediate to advanced programming skills or experience in one or more of the following areas: Go, Kotlin, Python, Java, HTML, Swift, PHP, XML, JSON, UML, JavaScript, SQL, PL/SQL, Shell scripts, Objective C, C#, C/C++, Perl,.net, asp.net, Visual Basic

  • Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity, utilizing capabilities beyond basic code completion

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
