The team lead is responsible for providing excellent customer service. They monitor and respond to customer inquiries. They track, trace, enter, and update shipments. The Team Lead will be the primary interface between Maersk Ground Freight, customers, sales, system operations and vendors and provide quality customer service, while meeting company policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
  • Answer incoming calls and provide excellent customer service to all callers
  • Monitor and respond to customer inquiries received through email
  • Make outgoing calls to follow-up on shipment status, resolve issues and update customers
  • Track, trace, enter and update shipments
  • Data Entry
  • Assist and support MGF stations and cartage agents
  • Master outside customer applications
  • Follow published procedures and work instructions for NCS accounts and bring modifications to management's attention
  • Responsible for ongoing process analysis of operational systems, procedures, and staffing to drive continuous improvement in operating efficiencies. Assist District Manager with general tasks
  • Effectively train, supervise, coach and evaluate all direct reports to foster good communications and morale
  • Reviews operational key performance measures monthly as well as benchmarking data to drive any required correctional or improvement strategies
  • Communicating freight status and any problems to customers, vendors and other Pilot stations and personnel
