Qualifications:To qualify for an Analytical and Operations Support Team Director your resume and supporting documentation must include:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-15 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Collaborate closely with Platform, Portfolio, and Program managers, contracting officers, and diverse stakeholders to deliver timely, cost-effective, and high-quality IT logistics solutions directly supporting the Warfighter and the PEO's mission. This involves proactively identifying and resolving acquisition and budget-related challenges to ensure successful program outcomes.
- Direct the strategic formulation, justification, and execution of the PEO's ~1.2 billion annual operating and program budgets (including RDTE, O&M, and Procurement funds). Collaborate closely with Platform, Portfolio, and Program managers, resource sponsors, and financial stakeholders to defend resource requirements, optimize allocation strategies, and proactively resolve complex funding challenges, ensuring seamless financial support directly to Warfighter capabilities and mission-critical IT logistics solutions.
- Champion and promote the adoption of leading-edge processes and innovative practices in the development, delivery, operation, and sustainment of information technology capabilities across DLA and DoD Enterprises. Drive efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices and emerging technologies.
- Formulates, implements, and monitors internal policies, management controls, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee statutory compliance, staff accountability, and optimal resource utilization
- Formulates and executes strategic courses of action to resolve complex program management challenges spanning external offices and joint agencies
- Responsible for the development of organizational goals and objectives, administrative policies, and overall staff direction of subordinate teams and cross-functional groups.
B. Education: Applicants may not qualify for this position based on education in lieu of specialized experience.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
