Job description

SUMMARY OVERVIEWย ย ย 

The Operations Managerย is responsible forย overseeing all aspects of field operations, including leading the operations team, coordinating with airlines and airport authorities, and ensuring the implementation of operational procedures and policies. In addition to managing day-to-day operations, this role is key in crisis management, handlingย emergenciesย and disruptions in close collaboration with senior leadership. Continuous analysis and improvement of operational processes to increase overall efficiency.ย 

RESPONSIBILITIESย ย 

  • Manage the delivery of services for customer airlines and airportsย in accordance withย the contract and within the agreed budget levelย 
  • Ensure safety and security policies and procedures areย in accordance withย all applicable standards setย 
  • Liaise with airline station managers, airport operations managers, handling agents, Customs, Immigration and Security officials, and other airport stakeholdersย 
  • Manage local Recruiting and Staffing initiatives, followingย recruitingย and hiring policies and procedures and ensuring staffing levels areย maintainedย to meet internal/external service level/quality assurance standardsย 
  • Monitor performance andย take action to correctย any shortfallsย 
  • Collaborate with Senior leadership operational gaps,ย irregularitiesย and auditsย 
  • Guide and mentor the local teamย 
  • Investigate and report all accidents, incidents, and irregularities, including work-related accidents/incidents, passenger incidents involvingย PrimeFlightย employees and property and/orย aircraftย damageย 
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and laws as well as required security measuresย 
  • Promote and support workplace diversity initiativesย 
  • Assistย and/or lead startup operations across all lines of businessย 
  • The ability to backfill open leadership positions during times of vacancyย 
  • Perform anyย additionalย duties as assigned by managementย 

QUALIFICATIONSย 

  • 18 years of age or olderย 
  • Eligible to work in the United Statesย 
  • Ability to work in office, onsite, Monday-Fridayย 
  • 5 years of Leadership/Operational experienceย 
  • Established leader in managingย large teamsย ย 
  • Project Management experience is a plusย 
  • In-depth knowledge of airport operational procedures and regulatory requirementsย 
  • Strong leadership and team management skillsย 
  • Must have a valid state-issued driverโ€™s license with an acceptable driving recordย 
  • Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)ย 
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic meansย 
  • Pass a background check and drug screenย 
  • Travel requirementย >75% travel between airport stations and for meetingsย 
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours on occasion to support our field operationsย
