Process Engineer - AME Guidelines and Tools

About the Team:  
The position will help support the coordination of Operation Excellence activities within internal plants. The position will ensure global alignment and drive operational guidelines and tools such as production system, continuous improvement, digitization, safety and sustainability. The position will report to the Operational Head and support the development and help drive the operation strategy, transformation an tracking of the implementation roadmap. The position will either sit in Marshall, IL or Farmington Hills, MI on a hybrid schedule. 


What you can look forward to as a Process Engineer: 

  • Provide support and oversight to plants for Operation excellence topics.
  • Coordinate with functional leads for Safety, Sustainability, Production System, Digitization, Quality, Supply Chain Operation excellence projects in order to drive Profit & Cash savings
  • Support global Continuous Improvement programs by working with the internal plants to initiate, execute, control, monitor and close projects (PDCA systemic approach).
  • Prepare and provide analysis for Operational heads for benchmarking, best practice sharing etc.
  • Support and drive the appropriate sections of the Operation Strategy as it relates to global capital investments, supply chain footprint and operational performance.
  • Support transformation plans for plants to safeguard competitive structures.
  • Responsible for preparation of data analytics, presentations, communication slides and documents for Operational Head.


Your profile as Process Engineer: 

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years' experience with process improvements (lean, stats tools, quality or similar).
  • Demonstrated ability to remain focused, constructive and flexible while under pressure.
  • High level of maturity and assertiveness, persistence resilience.
  • Ability to travel globally between 10-20%
  • Ability to work in matrix environment and global network with good coordination/cooperation skills.

The expected base compensation for this role is $85,000 - $115,000 annually.  Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
