Job description

Primary Location: Eastside Cardiovascular in Roseville, MI

***Must be able to help provide coverage at the 23 Mile Road and Rochester locations as needed.***

Schedule: 16 hours per week, Wednesday and Friday, Core position hours: 8:00am-4:30pm.

*** Must be able to help provide coverage for office hours (6:30am-5:30pm Monday - Friday) as needed.***

RESPONSIBILITIES:ย 

  • Primary duty of this position will be assisting with medical records.ย 
  • Performs receptionist functions including but not limited to chart prep, patient check-in and insurance verification.
  • Receives, screens, routes and responds to incoming telephone calls. Takes accurate messages and ensures timely delivery.
  • Greets guests and provides appropriate assistance and information.

  • Composes, types and transcribes correspondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications as required.
  • ย Routes written communications as appropriate.
  • Communicates with others in person, telephone, and/or email. May receive and screen visitors and handles general inquiries.
  • Assists with preparing for and facilitating meetings, conferences, programs and/or special events.
  • Establishes and maintains filing systems. Orders and stocks supplies.
  • May enter information from a variety of sources into computer database(s) and verify data entered into computer by checking printouts/reports for errors and correcting as required.
  • Performs additional clerical duties as assigned.ย 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.ย ย 

  • Previous cardiology experience in a medical practice or hospital setting is preferred.ย  ย 

  • Able to multi-task and complete tasks in a timely manner. ย 

  • Excellent communication skills.
