Job description

Town Pump is looking for a motivated and outgoing Store Assistant Deli Manager to join our team. Town Pump is a growing company, with ever increasing opportunities for career growth.
As a Store Assistant Deli Manager, you will:
  • assist the Deli manager and/or store manager in supervisory decisions that are consistent with Town Pump standards, policies, and procedures. Assists in planning, leadership, organization, and follow-ups with controllable expenses, sales increases, food costs, and shortage controls.
  • set the proper example for co-workers in terms of professionalism, attitude, and teamwork in the areas of customer service and store operations.
  • assist the Deli Manager in making management decisions for the deli operation, development of department staff, and with new employee training and orientation.
  • interact with the public, providing exceptional customer service, prepare deli items and cook heated items, order, and maintain deli merchandise, maintain the highest quality standards in food preparation and sanitation procedures.
  • effectively prioritize, organize, delegate, and follow up on shift tasks to be accomplished, be responsible for the security of all store assets, control of cost inventories, and store maintenance to include basic repairs of deli equipment.
  • assist clerks and managers as needed and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
