Operations Assistant (Armed Security)

Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time NON-EXEMPT
Salary: $30.00 – $33.00 per hour
Location: In-person (Greater Bay Area, with travel to Sacramento and Los Angeles as needed)
Availability: Open availability required, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

About the Role

Diligence Security Group is seeking a reliable and professional Operations Assistant (Armed Security) to support both field operations and workforce coordination. This role is primarily field-based, working as an armed security officer, while also assisting Operations with orientations, scheduling, onboarding, and compliance tracking.

This is an excellent opportunity for a security professional with strong organizational skills who enjoys both fieldwork and helping new hires succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as an armed officer, conducting patrols, enforcing site rules, and responding to incidents.
  • Write and submit accurate daily activity and incident reports.
  • Support field supervisors with site coverage, inspections, and training reinforcement.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and assist with background checks.
  • Maintain and organize employee compliance records (licenses, certifications, training files).
  • Create and manage officer schedules, ensuring proper coverage across assigned sites.
  • Coordinate and deliver internal trainings and operational meetings.
  • Track compliance tasks such as Guard Card, Firearm Permit, and CPR renewals.
  • Provide documentation, reporting, and operational communication.
  • Travel as needed to support operations in Sacramento and Los Angeles.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • College coursework or degree in Criminal Justice, Business, or related field (Preferred)
  • 3+ years of security experience (armed preferred)
  • 1+ years of supervisory/team lead experience (Preferred)
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Drive, Gmail) (Required)
  • Valid Driver’s License (Required)
  • Ability to travel to Sacramento and Los Angeles (Required)
  • Current BSIS Guard Card and Firearms Permit (Required)
  • Own vest and firearm (Required)
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (Preferred)
  • Prior Military or Law Enforcement experience (a plus)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (a plus)
