Job description

Operations Agent - Land
Pleasant Holidays, one of the largest travel wholesalers in the United States specializing in vacation travel to the Hawaiian Islands, Caribbean, Central & South America, Europe, Mexico, Middle East, South Pacific (Australia, Cook Islands, Fiji, New Caledonia, New Zealand & Tahiti), Japan & Asia, the United States & Canada, and cruise vacations worldwide, is seeking an Operations Agent - Land.
Pleasant Holidays is a subsidiary of the Automobile Club of Southern California, a diversified insurance, roadside assistance, financial services and travel organization serving AAA Members for more than 100 years.
Primary Duties:
  • Update booking records with confirmation numbers and cancellation acknowledgements from hotels, car rental companies, and land vendors.
  • Book land services via select land vendor's websites/portals.
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain missing confirmations.
  • Process hotel interface rejects.
  • Supply hotels with recap manifests as requested.
  • Ensure vendor manifests have transmitted successfully.
  • Work with Reservations to obtain missing booking information (i.e. customer-provided flight details, passport information, cell phone number, etc.).
  • Provide Accounting with backup needed for confirmation/rate issues.
  • Support and assist all departments and suppliers with inventory and manifest related inquiries.

Secondary Duties:
  • Liaise between Reservations and the hotels when issues arise.
  • Assist with forcing out hotel manifests as requested by Customer Service & Reservations.
  • Participate in a scheduled rotation of filing emails received and sent.
  • Provide the Documents department with passes & confirmations that need to be included in final travel documents.
  • Assist with any additional duties or special projects as requested.

Prerequisites:
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with a high attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with high level of professionalism.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Knowledge of ATLAS system and Pleasant Holidays products a plus.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8-hour workday
Location: Westlake Village, CA
Starting rate for the position is $20.00 per hour
