Location: Lawrence, NY (conveniently located right outside JFK Airport - easy access via public transit or car)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Company: My client is a growing logistics provider specializing in warehousing, freight forwarding, and efficient freight handling solutions.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team near JFK Airport. In this role, you'll support daily operations in warehousing, freight forwarding, and freight handling, ensuring smooth coordination of shipments, documentation, and customer communications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in logistics who is bilingual in English and Ukrainian.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound freight shipments, including tracking, scheduling, and communicating with carriers, clients, and warehouse teams.

• Handle warehousing tasks such as inventory management, receiving/shipping documentation, and order processing.

• Prepare and manage freight forwarding documents (e.g., bills of lading, commercial invoices, customs paperwork).

• Communicate effectively with international and domestic clients, carriers, and team members - often in both English and Ukrainian.

• Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook daily for reporting, data entry, emails, scheduling, and spreadsheets.

• Resolve issues related to delays, discrepancies, or documentation in a fast-paced environment.

• Assist with general office and operational support as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Must have solid experience in warehousing, freight forwarding, and/or freight handling (prior roles in logistics, 3PL, import/export, or similar strongly preferred).

• Fluent in English and Ukrainian (spoken and written) - required for client and team communications.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced skills in Excel (data tracking, formulas, pivot tables), Word (document creation), and Outlook (email/calendar management).

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a deadline-driven setting.

• Reliable transportation to commute to Lawrence, NY (near JFK).

• Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with freight management software or TMS/WMS systems.

• Knowledge of international shipping regulations or customs processes.

• Previous work in airport-adjacent logistics or freight forwarding.
