Job description

The Operations Agent will dispatch flights according to company flight release parameters and uphold Ryan Airโ€™s safety standards. 

The Operations Agent is directly responsible to the Director of Operations.  The Operations Agentโ€™s primary responsibility is to release flights according to Company flight release parameters.   

The Operations Agent will coordinate with the Maintenance department in scheduling aircraft.  

The Operations Agent accepts, files and closes out Company flight plans and keeps the Director of Operations informed. 

The Operations Agent initiates, follows or cancels a flight for the Company in accordance with FAR PART 135.77 under the direction of the Director of Operations.

The Operations Agent will be trained in accordance with the applicable section of the approved Company Training Manual.

Other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES

Ability to analyze and solve problems.

Must have good computer skills general office skills.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Maintains operations agent qualification.

REQUIREMENTS

Must have high school diploma or general education degree.

Prior applicable experience preferred.

Associateโ€™s degree or higher preferred. 

Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate preferred. 

Must have a valid driverโ€™s license with a good driving record.

Must be able to pass a 10-year TSA Background check to obtain a SIDA Badge. 

Must be able to pass a security background check.

Must be able to pass a DOT/FAA drug test and subject to random testing.
