Job description

Position Title: Domestic Operations Agent

Salary Range: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 Salary/year
Position Summary

Radiant Global Logistics is actively seeking a Domestic Operations Agent to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced freight environment. We are looking for candidates with at least 3+ years of domestic freight forwarding experience who enjoy working collaboratively while delivering excellent results for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage domestic freight forwarding operations, including alerting and routing via internet tools, and updating transportation software systems.

  2. Price domestic, air, ground, LTL, and FTL shipments competitively and accurately.

  3. Handle shipments with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to standard operating procedures.

  4. Serve as an integral part of operations, supporting freight movement for a wide variety of U.S.-based customers.

  5. Proactively identify potential and existing service failures and communicate issues to management in a timely and effective manner.

  6. Conduct shipment follow-up, including obtaining piece counts, weights, and dimensions from agents and updating transportation software accordingly.

  7. Negotiate aggressively with carriers and partners to obtain special rates or spot quotes.

  8. Obtain vendor charges and audit them for accuracy and legitimacy.

Qualifications

Required:

  1. 3+ years of experience in a relevant, fast-paced operations environment.

  2. Minimum 3 years of freight forwarding-specific experience.

  3. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.

  4. Exceptional attention to detail and high-level organizational skills.

  5. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and proactively address issues as they arise.

  6. Ability to follow standard operating procedures and contribute input for continuous improvement.

Preferred:

  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Excel, and Word.

  2. Experience with transportation tracking and management software.

Work Schedule & Environment
  1. Full time schedule of minimum 8 hours per day with flexibility to complete all required job duties and responsibilities.

  2. Climate-controlled office environment with usually moderate noise levels.

  3. Standard physical demands including sitting, walking, keyboarding, and close/distance visual work.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
Starting pay is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.

Additional Compensation: This position is eligible for incentive bonus opportunities.
