Job description

The Open Innovation and Business Development Professional supports the identification of emerging technologies and industry trends across various sectors. This role is well-suited for candidates with a science or engineering background who are eager to apply their technical knowledge to business contexts. This person will assist in discovering new business opportunities and technology partnerships based on the company's open innovation strategy, working closely with senior leadership.

Responsibility:

· Monitor and analyze display technologies, and adjacent industry developments; summarize findings into actionable reports for internal stakeholders

· Support identification of potential business opportunities, cooperation candidates, and novel application areas for LG Display's current and future products — including preliminary outreach to technology partners

· Assist in screening business opportunities by researching market landscapes, benchmarking competitors, and risk assessment under senior guidance

· Research potential partners, innovative technologies, products, and services aligned with the company's open innovation strategy; prepare materials for opportunity reviews

· Support the preparation of collaboration proposals and partnership documentation

· Prepare technology/market briefings and reports

· Assist in coordinating schedules and protocol for executive meetings

· Comply with the company’s policy and procedures

· Perform other related duties as assigned

Expected base salary: $70,000 ~ $95,000 (the salary offered will depend on several factors including years of experiences, levels, education, training, and internal employees)

Requirements

· 3-5 years of experience in technology research or R exposure to business development is a plus

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field (preferred)

· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

· Self-motivated, curious, and comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment

· Bilingual (English/Korean) preferred

· Authorized to work for any U.S. employer
