The Director of Open Innovation is responsible for is a senior individual contributor responsible for originating, structuring, negotiating, and activating strategic partnerships that accelerate Beckman Coulter Life Sciences' growth and innovation agenda. This role leads the endtoend partnership lifecycle across Beckman Coulter Life Sciences-spanning opportunity identification, internal alignment, commercial negotiation, and execution. The role operates within a strategydeployment mindset, ensuring external partnerships are tightly aligned to enterprise priorities and translated into executable initiatives.

This position reports to the VP, Strategy and is part of the Strategy and Open Innovation organization and will be fully remote.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Drive internal and external partnerships aligned to strategic priorities

  • Serve as primary deal lead for collaboration, licensing, and technology access agreements

  • Evaluate opportunities for strategic fit, technical relevance, and commercial value

  • Negotiate licensing, exclusivity, milestones, and financial terms

  • Manage partnerships postexecution against defined objectives and governance

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated experience negotiating complex partnerships and licensing agreements

  • Proven ability to lead crossfunctional deal teams without direct authority

  • Strong commercial and strategic judgment and executivelevel communication and relationshipbuilding skills

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environmental Requirements:

  • Ability to travel - 25-30% domestic with occasional international travel

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PhD)

  • Experience with IPbased partnerships or joint development models

  • Experience working closely with R&D and product teams

The annual salary range for this role is $150-200K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
