Job description

Copperhead Technologies, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is seeking a Document Support Specialist supporting the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM). The Documentation Support Specialist will provide essential transportation and traffic management policy, procedures, and guidance through the Defense Transportation Regulations (DTR). They will also provide and maintain the most up-to-date DTR guidance for the Defense Transportation System (DTS), on behalf of USTRANSCOM, to ensure effective and efficient worldwide delivery of cargo, passengers and personal property within the DTS.

Expected salary range: $62,000 - $77,000

This position is contingent on vacancy.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Tracking, formatting, and publishing administrative and coordinated changes to all seven parts of the DTR and Quick Links webpages.
  • Maintaining version control of working files and managing the DTR archives.
  • Submitting deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring all files posted on the DTR public webpage and Coordination sites remain Section 508 compliant.
Work Environment:
  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to work in confined areas.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.
  • Employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of an associate's degree from an accredited college or university //OR// a High School diploma, GED, or professional certification with 2+ years of experience in relevant and related functions.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Demonstrated experience in document editing and publishing.
  • Ability to use or learn SharePoint.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.

    • Current, active Secret security clearance.
    • At least 2 years of experience with technical writing or document editing.
    • One year or more of experience working in an administrative capacity with a federal government or U.S. Military department.
