The Contracts Manager is a broad-based contract management role responsible for supporting the company across a wide range of legal matters. This role represents the company in legal and business negotiations with prospects, clients, vendors, independent contractors, and partners, and provides practical legal guidance across the organization. The Contracts Manager is responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle-from drafting and negotiation through execution and closeout-across a broad range of commercial agreements. The position requires strong negotiation skills, cross-departmental collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple complex deals simultaneously in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
• Contract Management and Negotiations: Oversee and manage the contract life cycle from the beginning until final completion and contract closeout. Draft high-quality negotiation documents, review and interpret contract requirements, and ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain legal templates and ensure the integrity of contract data within Salesforce and other contract management databases. Finalize all documentation for contract closure, including preparing legal summaries, processing, routing, and obtaining necessary stakeholder approvals, and procuring signatures.
• Training and Development: Prepare and deliver training sessions and toolkits for new legal department employees and for business clients and assist in developing contracting processes
• Client Support: Promptly manage legal queries and issues, complete all necessary forms, and provide document request assistance for internal clients
• Administrative Duties: Retrieve and process legal department mail and other duties as assigned
• Extended Hours Support: Last day of month extended hours support in rotation with other legal personnel to close out time-sensitive sales deals.
YOU'VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:
• Bachelor's degree in business, legal studies, paralegal studies, or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in contract management, and contract negotiations preferably within the SaaS industry, or related experience with a demonstrated progression in the scope of responsibilities
• Strong negotiation skills, deep legal and industry knowledge, and the ability to resolve disputes while safeguarding the company's interests
• Ability to manage multiple complex negotiations simultaneously to meet competing deadlines.
• Ability to make sound decisions in high pressure situations with limited guidance or input from the attorneys when necessary
• Keen attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and ability to complete matters without extensive supervision
• Knowledge of policies, processes, general practices, and laws as they pertain to SaaS agreements
• Ability to collaborate effectively within and across departments effectively
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite and contract lifecycle management software (CLM)
• Exceptional organization skills, time management, and project management skills with the ability to prioritize, coordinate, and effectively manage numerous competing demands
IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU HAVE:
• Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school, Bachelor's in Paralegal Studies, or Bachelor's degree in business, legal studies, or related field
• Preference given to those with SaaS transactions experience
• Procurement experience, including vendor management, sourcing, and supplier contract negotiations
• Experience with government contracts
• Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM tools

IN OFFICE REQUIREMENT:
