Job description

Overview

CTG is seeking a certified Epic Hospital Billing (HB) Build Analyst with 3+ years of hands-on build experience to support the design, configuration, and optimization of Epic HB applications. This individual will play a key role in supporting revenue cycle operations, ensuring accurate billing, reimbursement, and compliance across hospital billing workflows.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of hospital revenue cycle processes and the ability to translate operational needs into scalable and effective Epic solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, configure, and maintain Epic HB application components in alignment with organizational and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with revenue cycle stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into system build and workflow improvements
  • Support hospital billing processes, including charge capture, claims creation, reimbursement workflows, and denial management
  • Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives
  • Perform unit testing, integrated testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system reliability and accuracy
  • Troubleshoot complex system and billing issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing sustainable solutions
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system build, workflows, and change management activities
  • Support go-live and post-go-live stabilization efforts, including on-call support as needed
  • Ensure compliance with payer requirements, regulatory standards, and Epic best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PB, Charge Router, HIM, interfaces, reporting) to ensure seamless revenue cycle integration
Required Qualifications
  • Epic Hospital Billing (HB) Certification (required)
  • 3+ years of Epic HB build experience, including hands-on configuration and support
  • Strong understanding of hospital revenue cycle operations, including billing, reimbursement, and denial management
  • Experience with system upgrades, enhancements, and full testing cycles
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex billing and system issues
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across both technical and operational teams

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75.00 to $85.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
