Field Sales

This position is responsible for developing new business and managing existing accounts within the oil and gas industry for the Carthage, TX branch.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Generates new business through existing contacts, networking and cold calling.
  • Responsible for presenting product solutions and training within the customer sales/service environment. ย 
    • Services existing accounts, from both a sales and account management perspective. ย Initiate client meetings, appointments, and lunch and learns for products.
    • Analyze customer needs and interests and determine how company products and services can best meet their needs.
    • Maintain a working knowledge of all relevant customer issues, pricing and billing procedures, and collections status.
    • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
    • Quickly build a detailed working knowledge and then remain current of companyโ€™s products, market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies.
    • Work with inside sales support staff with quotes, equipment selection and sourcing to close orders.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Associateโ€™s degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
  • 2+ years related experience and/or training in outside sales in Oilfield or Industrial industries.
  • Proven ability to strengthen relationships with "key" accounts.
  • Able to prospect new accounts by professional networking, industry research, and cold calling.
  • Able to negotiate and up sell with prospective customers.
  • History of consistent goal achievement in sales.
  • Driverโ€™s License and Passport required .
  • Basic understanding of oilfield production.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely with strong presentation and liaison skills.ย  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customer, and the public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access.
  • Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature.
  • Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Physically and legally able to drive a company vehicle to all customer locations and events
