ABOUT WAYSIDE SCHOOLS: Wayside Schools is an open-enrollment, tuition-free Pre-K3-12th grade public charter school network that provides over 2,200 scholars across its four South Austin campuses with a rigorous International Baccalaureate education. Since 2012, Wayside schools has striven to empower historically underserved scholars, providing them with the instructional experiences, academics skills, intellectual habits and social and emotional competencies needed to become graduates from four-year colleges and universities, providing them with the access and opportunities they need to narrate their own futures and positively impact and empower the families and communities to which they belong.
Job Goal:
This position serves as the point of contact for the Campus Office. The Office Administrative Support/Receptionist should exhibit tact, poise, good judgment and the ability to work well with students and parents during routine situations as well as communicating with internal and external contacts, offices, and organizations that serve students and will include prospective students and their families.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Three years experience (Preferred)
Some College (Preferred)
Skill Requirements:
Bilingual in English/Spanish-able to speak, read and write in both languages.
3 years office experience, preferably in a school setting.
High level of commitment to the mission and goals of Wayside Schools.
First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (Preferred)
High level of self-awareness including a clear understanding of one’s strengths and weaknesses.
Highly skilled ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve in a fast paced environment.

Performance Responsibilities:
Manage phones-answering incoming calls, distributing messages and redirecting calls.
Welcome visitors and stakeholders in a friendly and positive manner.
Monitor visitor access through Raptor software system.
Verbal and written translations in English/Spanish.
Managing mail (distribution, receiving packages, school mailings, etc.).
Addressing the health needs of students ( illness, injuries, medications).
Stock office supplies and instructional materials.
Coordinate supply requests from teachers and distribute supplies.
Coordinate shuttle service information with parents and maintain accurate shuttle data/IDs for scholars.
Coordinate student records with registrar.
Assist with OneCall messages to families.
Manage student enrollment, waitlist, registration process, and intent to return for scholars.
Maintain confidentiality.
Perform data entry work.
Verify and upload enrollment documents.
Verify and input immunization data.
Manage the attendance process to stay in compliance with ADA requirements.
Run weekly attendance reports to maintain consistency with Wayside Schools attendance policy.
Assist the ACOM with oversight of all essential aspects of campus operations (e.g., school safety; logistics; facility appearance; asses inventory; vendor deliveries; etc.)
Assist the ACOM with receiving and processing technology and maintenance requests throughout the school year.
Assist the ACOM with managing the FinOps aspect of school readiness (e.g., managing socio-economic forms; immunizations; updating parent contact information; etc.)
With support of ACOM, manage substitutes and leave forms.
With support of ACOM, process scholar withdrawals and ensuring all steps are followed.
Assume the role of ACOM in the ACOMs absence.
Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
