Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Humanities department is seeking a student worker to provide office support, with a main focus on assisting students, faculty/staff or campus visitors who come into the Humanities office.
- General clerical work including answering the phone and directing inquires accordingly.
- Assist faculty and students with printing needs, maintaining office supply inventory (taking note of faculty requested materials), accept and distribute incoming mail, prepare documents or packages for mail pickup.
- Assist faculty with various tasks like scanning course materials or running errands on campus.
- Occasionally assist at events like Maroon & White Day or planning and setting up department events (egg hunt and finals fuel tables).
- Manage social media.
-Assist managing editor with publication.
- Additional assignments include: creating marketing materials for events, propose and post social media content, give campus tours to candidates in a faculty search, tend to office plants, and light office cleaning.
