Job description

Job Title: Office Floater

Location: Peachtree Corners, GA, In-person

Job Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8sm- 5pm

Pay rate: $18- $20 (depending on experience)

TMI Calibration, established in 1991, is an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory offering comprehensive calibration, repair, and asset management services for test equipment. With multiple full-service labs across the U.S., TMI specializes in providing automated and on-site calibrations, clean room certifications, and custom solutions.


Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily operations in our calibration lab and warehouse. This role is a true “jack of all trades” support position designed to serve as a flexible backup across multiple functions, including administrative work, shipping/receiving, quality control, inventory support, and local pickups/deliveries (as needed).

This position ensures continuity of operations when team members are out due to vacation, illness, or workload demands. Driving is expected to be a smaller portion of the role, with most time focused on administrative, warehouse, and QC support tasks.


Responsibilities:

  • Support quality control processes and maintain lab cleanliness and organization
  • Perform shipping and receiving duties, including packing, labeling, and inventory tracking
  • Assist with warehouse operations including material handling, organization, and stock control
  • Provide backup support for local pickups and deliveries as needed
  • Conduct quality checks and assist with basic QC documentation and workflows
  • Manage administrative duties such as filing, data entry, ordering supplies, and report preparation
  • Answer phones, route inquiries, and support customer communication
  • Assist internal teams, managers, and visiting clients with daily office needs
  • Support inventory tracking and updates in coordination with warehouse operations
  • Ensure smooth workflow across office and lab operations by assisting wherever needed
  • Perform general support duties to maintain efficiency across departments


Requirements and Skills:

  • Must have prior administrative or office support experience
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly (warehouse and delivery support required)
  • Valid, clean driver’s license required
  • Comfortable assisting with local pickups and deliveries (as needed; not primary function)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and shift priorities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inventory tracking
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work independently and support multiple departments as needed
  • Familiarity with warehouse, shipping, or QC processes is a plus
  • High school diploma required; additional administrative or technical training preferred
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required
