Job Title: Office Assistant III
Contract Days: 7.5 hrs/day, 240 days
The Office Assistants are directly supervised and evaluated by the department administrator.
Qualifications of Employment:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Advanced computer skills:
    • Efinance, Eschool preferred
    • Microsoft, Excel, Google knowledge
  • Pass a background check (RSD will reimburse once passed)
  • Professional communication skills
    • Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred
    • Positive disposition & people skills
    • Proper grammar usage with English
    • Greet people in a welcoming manner
    • Experience with people and families from diverse backgrounds
  • Accounting skills:
    • Budgeting, purchasing process, record keeping
  • Experience in specific office work preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Any responsibilities listed here for clerk/parapro & registrars
  • Follow district purchasing and accounting procedures:
    • Requisitions
    • Assist and manage budgeting reports for all programs
    • Purchase orders
    • RSD Tier II training
    • Assist with audits and monitoring visits
  • Professionalism with all shareholders: students, parents, staff - (warm, caring, professional at all times)
  • Maintaining teacher and student records
  • Participate in cross training and any professional development as assigned
  • Maintaining, distribution, and record keeping for any devices (laptops, ipads, etc)
  • Uphold confidentiality - FERPA
  • Follow all RSD policies and procedures
  • Be responsible for correctly documenting timesheets and any other documentation
  • Check and reply to emails & phone calls within 24 hours
  • Other duties as assigned.

7.5 hrs/day (Example Schedules):
  • 7:30 - 3:30 with 30 minute lunch (unpaid) + 2 fifteen minute paid breaks
  • 7:45 - 3:45 with 30 minute lunch (unpaid) + 2 fifteen minute paid breaks
  • 8:00 - 4:00 with 30 minute lunch (unpaid) + 2 fifteen minute paid breaks
