The Finance MBA Intern partners with business and finance leaders to analyze complex business challenges, evaluate financial and operational performance, and develop recommendations that drive strategic decision-making. During this 12-week internship, the intern will contribute to initiatives such as financial planning and analysis (FP&A), corporate development, business intelligence, strategic finance, capital allocation, cost optimization, and performance analytics. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, business acumen, and the ability to influence stakeholders through data-driven insights and professional communication

Job Description

Internship Responsibilities:
Intern responsibilities will vary based on functional placement, but typical responsibilities include:

  • Use quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and business insights to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and solve complex problems. Demonstrates curiosity and a structured approach to decision-making.

  • Assesses financial and business risks, evaluates tradeoffs, and develops thoughtful recommendations supported by data. Exercise discretion when managing confidential or sensitive information.

  • Develop and present actionable recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders

  • Support strategic initiatives, process improvements, or cost-savings efforts

  • Collaborate with teams across Sales, Operations, Product Management, Finance, and more to solve real business problems

  • Prepare leadership-ready presentations or reports to share findings

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing an MBA degree

  • 3+ years of professional business experience in Finance or related field

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfort working with data

  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community & with vendors along with preferred negotiation experience

  • Demonstrated ability to present to senior management with the purpose of influencing decisions

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$92,000.00 - $138,000.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
