Job description

Discover your next career destination as an Admitter Nurse Practitioner in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri
We believe in bringing "better" to our local community in Lake Saint Louis-better care, better collaboration, and a deep commitment to the people we serve. We'd love to talk if you're looking for a role that supports your professional growth and connection to a vibrant community.
Local Team Collaboration:
  • Join our close-knit team of 16 physicians and 6 APPs at SSM St. Joseph West Hospital.
  • We work with the support of a clinical performance nurse and a hospitalist coordinator.
  • Our hospital is a place of collaboration within numerous departments. We value a seamless transition of care for our patients, and communication within the community is second to none.
  • We use EPIC and have our integrated informatics platform for seamless record-keeping.

Qualifications:
  • Board-certified/eligible nurse practitioners.
  • Experience in a hospital setting as an APP is preferred; not able to train at this time.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling:
  • We are looking for a nurse practitioner interested in a swing role.
  • Focus on admissions and never work alone, however, this role offers a great deal of autonomy.
  • We offer flexibility in scheduling so you can balance work with family and activities.
  • Our team works a block schedule; however, the number of shifts in a block can be negotiable.
  • Shifts are 12 hours in length; 12 p.m.- 12 a.m.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We are a medium-sized 154-bed community hospital with robust subspecialty support.
  • We support a semi-open ICU with full intensivist coverage 24 hours a day, but our team is not expected to do procedures or run codes, and our nurse practitioners are not in the ICU.
  • Our patient population is diverse, so we are looking for a nurse practitioner who relishes the challenge of addressing a broad spectrum of patient needs.

Living and Working in Lake Saint Louis:
  • Lake Saint Louis isn't just where we work-it's where we live and enjoy the perfect mix of suburban tranquility and outdoor adventure. With its scenic lake, family-friendly community, and easy access to St. Louis, Lake Saint Louis offers a relaxed lifestyle with plenty to offer.

Rewards and Compensation:
