Job description

We're looking for a self-directed, strategically minded Business Insurance Advisor who can drive new business growth, build lasting client relationships, and operate confidently in complex commercial environments.
This role blends entrepreneurial sales ownership with consultative advisory work, developing new opportunities, managing executive-level relationships, and delivering tailored risk solutions to business owners and organizations.
You'll be equally comfortable prospecting new business, managing a disciplined pipeline, and collaborating across internal teams to ensure strong client outcomes. You'll also play a key role in strengthening our market presence through networking, referrals, and community engagement.
Requirements
What You'll Do
  • Drive new business production across mid-market commercial accounts
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline through referrals, COIs, and strategic prospecting
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close
  • Deliver consultative risk and insurance solutions to business owners and executives
  • Partner closely with operations and client service teams to ensure seamless delivery and strong client outcomes
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and disciplined pipeline reporting and forecasting
  • Collaborate with carriers to secure competitive coverage solutions
  • Maintain strong presence in the business community for your market/specialty commercial lines focus
  • Consistently achieve or exceed new business and retention goals
  • Contribute to a culture of growth by supporting and mentoring early-career producers when appropriate

What We're Looking For
  • 8+ years of successful commercial lines insurance sales experience (mid-market focus preferred)
  • Proven track record of building a sustainable, high-quality book of business
  • Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty coverages and carrier markets
  • A top-producer mindset with strong closing ability and disciplined pipeline management
  • Highly collaborative approach, with strong partnership across internal service and operations teams
  • Technologically fluent, with experience and discipline using CRM tools and sales pipeline systems
  • Highly responsive to coaching, feedback, and continuous improvement
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior producers is a plus
  • Strong executive presence, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Entrepreneurial, growth-focused mindset with long-term commitment to building within an agency
  • Integrity is non-negotiable and central to how you operate
  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license required
