Located in the Nobu Hotel at Eden Roc, Nobu adds an extra level of class and sophistication to the iconic hotel. Nobu Miami now offers patio seating as well as an exclusive Teppan Room. Nobu's signature dishes such as Yellowtail with Jalapeño and Black Cod Miso are served to throngs of fans, proving that in the end, it is all about the food.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Highly Acclaimed Nobu Miami Beach Restaurant is currently looking to expand our Culinary Team. We are looking for reliable, hardworking and professional Line Cooks. All candidates must possess knowledge of restaurant kitchen procedures, basic knife skills and a solid understanding of food preparation and health code standards.
The Line Cook prepares food that meets current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations by following established policies and procedures and ensures that safe and high quality food service is provided at all times. He or she prepares all items needed for service, from chopping vegetables to making sauces and butchering meat, and may be asked to prepare items for another station or special event.
The ideal candidate for this position has one year prior experience in a high end/fast paced food service setting. Additional culinary training/coursework highly desired. He or she must be committed to the customers, reliable to his or her co-workers, and be a self-motivated, organized, and detailed individual. Effective oral and written skills, good time management skills, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepares hot and cold food (entrees, soups, salads, etc.) following established recipes for all meal services and special events
  • Cleans work areas and all equipment used in food preparation
  • Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices
  • Restocks food supplies and takes inventory when required

QUALIFICATIONS
  • One year of experience in an upscale, high-volume environment
  • Formal culinary training a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
  • Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of general sanitary and safety practices
