Position Summary
**WE ARE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION FROM WORK-STUDY STUDENTS ONLY**
The James & Gail Ellis School of Business Leadership is seeking a qualified student with a positive, can-do attitude to provide administrative support to the school's Behavioral Research Laboratory. This role serves as an administrative assistant to the Ellis Behavioral Research Laboratory (https://business.unm.edu/behavioral-lab/index.html) performing a range of administrative activities that support ongoing lab operations and data collection.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Answers emails and provides general information regarding routine inquiries.
  • Greets study participants, logs arrival times, and provides general study information as requested.
  • Conducts internet research focused on new and existing technology to facilitate behavioral science research
  • Gains intermediate-level mastery of the use of existing lab software and technology
  • Performs routine clerical work, data entry, and/or word processing.
  • Assists in the assembly of study materials and performs routine filing duties.
  • Performs specialized services of a routine clerical/administrative nature in strict accordance with established procedural guidelines, as appropriate to the position.

  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Work schedules are flexible and will be worked out with the supervisor before beginning employment.
Minimum Qualifications
Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Organized, responsible, and professional orientation toward job responsibilities and role.
  • Word processing and/or data entry skills.
  • Skill in the use of operating basic office equipment.
  • Receptionist skills.
  • Records maintenance skills
  • May require minimum GPA.
  • An academic interest in the social sciences (e.g., psychology, sociology), specifically an interest in scientific behavioral research, preferred but not required.
