Could This Be For You?
The Associate Fabricator fabricates the orthoses and prostheses to provide maximum fit, function, cosmetics and workmanship. The Associate Fabricator will have on the job training as well as formal O&P Training i.e., LMS and other training provided by leadership. Through this training you will be expected to maintain tools, equipment, materials, and following work instructions per device in your work area.
Your Impact
  • Perform fabrication of orthotic and/or prosthetic devices, according to Company quality and quantity standards.
  • May assist or perform in ordering and receiving and other inventory tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain 5s to ensure for a safe, clean and orderly work environment.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
  • Adhere to all HIPPA and other regulatory compliance training issued by Hanger, Inc.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience and Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED; no experience required.
  • Preferred: less than 1 year of related experience working within environments that include: machinery, tools, wood working, design, fabrication, componentry, etc. -OR-
  • Without diploma/GED, 1 year of related experience working within O&P environments that include: machinery, tools, design, fabrication, componentry, etc.

  • Knowledge and hand skills needed to fabricate and repair prostheses (artificial limbs) and orthoses (orthopedic braces) according to specifications.
  • Mechanical ability and hand-eye coordination to use laboratory tools safely and effectively.
  • Effective organizational, time management and planning skills.
  • Good interpersonal and verbal skills for communicating with others.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
  • Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment. Has little or no role in decision making.

Pay range of $19 - $20/hour + bonus+ benefits. This pay range is posted to comply with State Law. Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables
