Responsibilities

A position with Mayo Clinic's - NIH T32 Clinical Pharmacology Training Program led by Drs. Liewei Wang and Richard Weinshilboum is available for a fellow with a M.D. or PharmD degree. Clinical Pharmacology is the science of all aspects of the interaction between drugs and biological therapeutic agents and humans. Clinical Pharmacology lies at the confluence of advances in genomics and other omics disciplines and systems biology to create an important aspect of Precision Medicine.

Mayo Clinic is fortunate to have a long-standing formal training program in Clinical Pharmacology that is supported by an NIH T32 Training Grant. The program involves a diverse faculty in virtually every biomedical and clinical discipline. The NIH Clinical Pharmacology Training Program is only open to United States Citizens and Permanent Residents and is limited to fellows who have a M.D. or PharmD degree. This formal research training program is designed to prepare candidates for a career in either an academic medical center environment, in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry or in regulatory science.
