Job description

Role summary / purpose

ICC (CW) - Shift Analyst position providing proactive and predictive monitoring, issue resolution, and support for data center infrastructure and business critical applications.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide proactive and predictive monitoring, support, and problem resolution of all data center infrastructure and software environments, storage, printing, networking, and batch environments.
  • Setup/modify, monitor, and track the client server production batch job flows.
  • Perform server reboots as needed.
  • Provide support internally for any technical issues requiring escalation.
  • Participate on project teams to provide support and consultation as needed.
  • Assist with monthly patch deployments.
  • Participate in ongoing cross-training of technical and process knowledge.
  • Review and complete incident, work order, e-Form, and other IT infrastructure related requests.
  • Lead and participate in major incidents and disaster recovery exercises.
  • Assist in determining, planning, and implementing necessary changes to the IT infrastructure as needed.
  • Develop and promote standard processes and procedures.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities.
Requirements – education & experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field plus 1 year related work experience
  • OR High School/GED plus 3 years related work experience
  • Basic infrastructure experience/skills
  • Windows server experience
Required skills
  • Tier 2 monitoring and support for Enterprise Infrastructure environments (Client Server, Windows, Linux, Storage, Citrix, IIS, Web/Middleware)
  • Enterprise Batch Level Support (UAC or other monitoring platforms)
Nice-to-have / preferred skills
  • Linux and UNIX server operating systems
  • Virtualization Technologies (VMware, Citrix)
  • Storage Area Network Infrastructure
  • Strong collaboration and customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Highly motivated, flexible, and full of initiative
  • Ability to lead amongst peers to fulfill requests and resolve issues
